Friends of Garrard County Schools (FGCS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students and educators across Garrard County.
FGCS will help meet needs that public funding alone cannot—providing support for student scholarships, teacher mini-grants, summer enrichment programs, student well-being, and innovative tools and technology in the classroom.
Founded by a group of community leaders, alumni, educators, and advocates in November 2025, FGCS officially launched in early 2026 as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
